Torres Mediation Services strives to maintain competitive fees. All charges are based on an hourly rate, with no extra charge for travel within a 60 mile area of Melbourne, Florida. If a mediation is continued, or significant pre or post mediation services are required, the parties will be advised and charged the regular hourly rate for time expended by the mediator to facilitate an attempted resolution of the matter.
For Circuit Civil Mediation cases and Family cases where the parties are represented by counsel, the cost is $250 per hour, with a minimum of two hours for each session scheduled. This includes the preparation of the Mediated Settlement Agreement.
For Foreclosure Mediations rates are charged at the court-ordered rate for each circuit or less. Please call for details. Our rates are attractive.
For Pro Se Divorce mediation, the cost is $200 per hour plus a charge of $500 to prepare the Settlement Agreement. Should the parties wish for the mediator to prepare the court documents for filing, there will be an additional charge of $500. If the parties prepare the documents themselves (with the exception of the Settlement Agreement), the mediator will gladly review those documents with the parties during the regular mediation session.
Payment is to be made at the end of each mediation session and shall be divided equally by the parties, unless another arrangnement has been made. Pro se parties (those who are not represented by a lawyer) who wish to make payments or would like to pay by credit card, should call Torres Mediation Services BEFORE the mediation to make arrangements.
Cancellation Fee: Should the parties cancel the mediation within the five business days prior to the scheduled mediation session, and not reschedule with Torres Mediation Services for another session to take place within four weeks, a cancellation fee shall apply. This fee is equal to the minimum fee charged for a session, or $500, and will be charged to the party who cancels the mediation or to each party equally if the cancellation is by mutual agreement. No Charge for Conference Rooms: Conference rooms are provided free of charge at the offices of Torres Mediation Services. If there are going to be more than six persons (including their counsel) present, or the parties wish to have the mediation take place at another location, conference rooms can be provided throughout Brevard County or throughout Florida at no additional cost.
