Mediators are trained, skilled and neutral.

Mediators have undergone specialized training in foreclosure mediation, both with the court and through privately presented state-wide programs.   In addition, mediators regularly mediate mortgage foreclosure cases in their private practices and for the 18th Judicial Circuit of Florida, as well as confer regularly as to the latest practices and updates within the industry.   Kim participates in the Collins Center Foreclosure Mediation programs throughout Florida and is subject to the extensive training and qualifications necessary to be considered to mediate foreclosure mediations through the Collins Center.

OUR GOAL:  To provide a process that is simple, efficient and flexible for the parties, while preserving a procedure that is upheld by the courts and allows all parties to meaningfully participate in the mediation.

Kim began her legal career at a South Florida law firm which represented a local lender. She personally supervised and attended over 60 loan closings each month and prepared title work for more than half of those properties. Since working exclusively as a private mediator, Kim has focused her cases in the areas of general business disputes, real estate litigation, condominium and homeowner’s association problems, consumer credit disputes, automobile warranty claims, with some tort claims and family matters to round out the practice. Most recently, Kim helped establish the Foreclosure Mediation program in Brevard County and serves as a Trainer for other mediators.  She participates in the Collins Center Foreclosure Mediation program for the 19th and 11th Judicial Circuits and continually improves her skills through various trainings and discussion groups provided within Florida.  Kim has received the comprehensive Foreclosure Mediation Training required by the Supreme Court of the State of Florida, in addition to HAMP training with Fannie Mae.

  WHY CHOOSE FLORIDA MEDIATION SPECIALISTS?

AVAILABILITY:

With a number of skilled mediators in our group, we have much flexibility to meet your scheduling needs.  Mediators are available immediately for mediations in all of Central Florida, from the Tampa Bay area, through Orlando to the East Coast, from Ormond Beach to Boca Raton and even Tallahassee if there is demand. We are in the process of adding other qualified mediators throughout the state to our panel to better serve our clients. It is our intention to only have a small number of well-qualified mediators in our group. The primary mediators will attempt to make most engagements, but feel that for the convenience of our clients and scheduling, other mediators may need to become available in the future. Of course, the client may choose which mediator they wish to schedule depending on availability. Our base of operation is in Brevard County.

COMPETITIVE RATES:  Services are charged on a per case basis and are either the same as the court-ordered rate for each Circuit or less.  Fees can also be transferred one time for a mediation that is rescheduled to a later date.  Notice of rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours prior to the mediation session.  Payment is expected one week before the mediation and cancellations are refunded if they occur more than five business days prior to the scheduled mediation.

Rates for Brevard County are $300 per case.

Rates for Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Osceola Counties are $ 300 per case for more than one

Call for rates in other Counties and Circuits.

TRAINED AND NEUTRAL:

Our trained mediators understand the various programs and options available in the current foreclosure market and stay abreast of changes as they are introduced.  While wanting to work with both parties to find a satisfactory resolution, our mediators understand their role is to be neutral and not advocate for either party.  Skill and discretion are paramount to the role of the mediator.

CONFERENCE ROOMS:

Conference rooms are available free of charge, throughout the state of Florida.

Other locations can be secured, or we can come to your location with the agreement of the opposing parties.  Call for more information.
